Today was the beach day! Oh my gosh! It felt so good! James took us up to a beach, and we stayed there for about seven hours! It was so great! We had SOO many beach adventures!
Beach adventure 1: First Nicole, Emily, Neeley and I decided we wanted to go walk along the pier. There was a library then you walked out onto the pier. It was gorgeous! There were several people fishing, and even people catching crabs! It was really fun!
Beach Adventure 2: We were sitting on the beach just talking and laying out, and I started talking about how use to love going to the beach and dancing on the beach! How I would go and do ariels, and turns, and leaps and all sorts of dance moves. I started talking to another girl (Jessica) who was on a dance team in high school and she had never done this before! She wanted to so bad! So then we did! We went and danced on the beach for about an hour! We did ariels, and leaps and Turning Leaps! It was so much fun! It made me miss dancing a little bit! We did toe touches and everything! It was so much fun!!
Beach Adventure 3: After Jessica and I had been dancing for a long time, Christine came up and decided she wanted to be apart of this too. Christine isn't a dancer, but is sort of a gymnast. Jess has been teaching her basic dance moves so she was like teach me something new! Then Christine said jokingly we could do the Hannah Montanna dance. Jess, Christine, and I got really excited about this! We all totally knew and were all about teaching it to the rest of the group! So then about ten of the others came out and we taught them the Hoe Down Throw Down on the Beach! Yes there were about 12, 20-22 year old girls doing the Hoe Down Throw Down on the Beach! It was so great! Don't worry we videoed this too! Plus this is going to be apart of our soon to come music video!
Beach Adventure 4: The next thing we got to do was observe a sand artist. This was crazy! We went up on the pier and on the sand below there was a guy drawing a picture. I guess he comes here very frequently and does art work. He has done it over 1000 time. It was incredible. The picture all came together, yet he couldn't see any of what he was doing! I was so amazed by this!
I think that is most of the beach adventures that happened. After we all went home and got ready. It was time to cook dinner! We had heaps of food left over from the night before so we had left over spaghetti, and this time we ate it with a white sauce! It tasted very good! Anyway, after dinner, a few of us had a sweet tooth. We felt like we really wanted ice cream! Well you see this was a problem. There were really any ice cream shops around. There was a gas station though, so we decided we would just go down and get a Magnum Bar. When we got there though we thought their prices were a little steep, so we asked if there was a dairy somewhere close. He told us there was just one right down the street. Now let's think about this, Five girls going down some rode having no clue where they are, yeah not the smartest idea. Anyway, we started down the street looking for the dairy. We start walking, and there is next to nothing on this street. We get about half way down and we decided we should probably turn back. But then Nicole said, "Wait guys there is a sign down there! It even has an ice cream cone on it!" We all got really excited and kept on walking. Well we get a little bit farther down the rode, and guess what...It's not really an ice cream cone. It was definitely a picture of ham. Yup it's a meat house called Ham on a Bone! It was hilarious! We were laughing so hard! I don't think Nicole will ever live that one down! Don't worry though it turned out okay, The dairy was acrossed the street, so we made it there, although we did think we were going to a meat house!
When we got back since we are all a bunch of soon to be school teacher, we decided we would watch Freedom Writers. This is such a great movie! It inspired us all to do amazing on our practicum! It was a really fun night!
