“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Sunday In Christchurch
Church/Drive/Movie Night
Today was a relaxing day. We started out and all got up and went to church in Christchurch. It was really a neat day to go. It was fast and testimony meeting, as well as Waitangi Day. It was really neat to hear all of the testimonies about how grateful they are to be citizens of New Zealand, and the things in their life. Another really neat thing that happened in church was we got to sing their National Anthem. First we sang it in English, and then in Maori. It was really neat. It really is a beautiful song!
After church James took us for a drive! We went and drove around all of Christchurch. He showed us different sites, and also some of the damages that were done by the earthquake. It was really sad to see all of that. After that he took us up top on a mountain and we got see Littleton and another Bay. They were absolutely gorgeous! We spent a lot of time looking out and relaxing there.

After that we went back and cooked dinner for all of us. It was hilarious! All sixteen of us were dividing up cooking responsibilities to cook in our little kitchens with limited supplies! We made a taco salad! It was SOO good! I miss Mexican food. Although taco salad isn't completely Mexican, it's the closest thing I have had since I have been over here. It's crazy Mexican food doesn't exist over here! That is something I will be wanting when I get back to the states! My apartment made the meat! It was good! Following for dessert, we had Tin Tam Slams! That was so much fun! First tin tams are the best! But here is what a tin tam slam is! First you make the Milo (This is basically hot chocolate, only better). Following you take a small bite from opposite ends of the tintam, and then here is the fun part. You put it in the milo, use it as a straw get the milo from the cup. Once you get the milo, you have to suck up the tintam without using your hands before it melts and gets stuck in the bottom! It is so much fun! It was funny to watch us all do it!
Following this we had a giant movie night and watched "My Best friends Wedding" It was very fun! Another great night on our vacation from vacation!
